Well I was broseing and found this [link] and wanted to try the tips out and this is what i got.

Ah a good start, I haven't tried GIMP yet but if they have a smear tool, you might want to smear the highlights in the direction of the hair, I can see you added highlights in the hair but the highlights kinda dont look like there are ridges in the hair, but anyways good job and don't stop coloring! ^^
